How to Appeal ACC Decisions

When a owner submits plans and specifications to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for consideration, a majority vote is required to approve or disapprove of the plans.  The owner has the right to meet with the entire ACC to discuss the plans and specifications.

If the ACC Disapproves the Plan

If the ACC disapproves of the plans, the owner may appeal the decision of the ACC to the board of directors where a majority vote is required to overturn a decision of the ACC.

If the ACC disapproves of any plans, the submitting owner is strongly encouraged to meet with the ACC before appealing to the board of directors.  A meeting may resolve the issue.

If an owner appeals to the board of directors, he or she should meet with the directors rather than just submitting written plans.
